Eptinger Chair(200 views)
Description: One of the most famous and prolific Swiss poster artists, Leupin created nearly 1000 posters. He won 85 "Swiss Poster of the Year" awards...and countless others internationally. Like his French counterpart, Raymond Savignac, he designed countless posters around the visual gag system. However, before he adopted that style he was a devotee of the Swiss school's neo-objectivity, designing posters in a hyperrealist style. Currently Leupin has over 10 posters in the permanent collection of MOMA, New York. Leupin was able to apply his graphic skill, and subtle sense of humor for Eptinger mineral water once again, depicting a chair under water, with a glass of the bubbly mineral water placed precariously on the edge of the chair. Great image. This is an original vintage poster, printed in 1957.
