Description: Angelica Privalihin was born in a small village Uzlovaja in the Tula region of Russia. She attended the Special School for Gifted in Arts as a child in Siberia. She was taught to see the beauty of the world and to depict it not realistically, but through her feelings and vision. In 1990 Angelica graduated from Art College in Krasnoyarsk. She taught and was an assistant curator at the local museum. From 1995-2000 she created a course for elementary schools called Art: The Very Beginning. Published by the Siberian State School Board as a monograph and used as the basis for elementary school art classes. Angelica has received multiple awards for her art and numerous commendations and awards for her input as an art teacher from The Department of Culture & Museum of Art. Angelica's paintings show a purposeful interest in historical observations and destinies. Her approach to art demands serious intellect and imagination. She explores subjects containing the reflections on the true meaning of life. Through her careful execution, Angelica shows us people of the past through sensuous images. Though while exploring the past, Privalihin shares thoughts about an invisioned future world of perfection and ideal harmony. Angelica is in constant search of new ideas and through experimentation and continues to surprise us with her extraordinary perception of the world. When not with her family Angelica devotes all her time to painting, participating in exhibitions in both Russia and Internationally. Her works are held in the Art Museums in Russia and Asia; along with private collections in Russia, Israel, Germany, China, the USA, and United Kingdom.
