Heir Telephonieren

Heir Telephonieren

Description: Hans Falk is considered one of Switzerland's finest artists of the 20th century. His insightful style and warm expressive palette are evident....Hans Falk drew or painted only something that he "saw himself". His painterly style is immediately recognizable in posters. More of an illustrator than a poster designer, his brilliant sense of layout works marvelously in the poster format. Graphic designer, printmaker, draftsman, illustrator and painter, Falk was called the "Lautrec" of the 20th century. Heir Telephonieren...we see an elegantly dressed woman in a phone booth, with the lettering at the top in reverse. Again, a painterly approach to a poster design advertising the use of the telephone in public places. And though there is a strange resemblance to a famous American Hollywood star, the model was Falk's wife. keywords, fashion, telephone.
