Le Mont Revard Summer(136 views)
Description: During the interwar period, Roger Broders was the finest designer of French travel posters. Many of his best were for the French railroad, the Paris-Lyon-Mediterranee (PlM). Known for his posters of the fashionable resorts of the Cote D'Azur, Broders is also well known for his Deco stylized images of the winter resorts, mountains, and skiers that frequented them in the French Alps. The PLM Railway built the Grand Hotel on Mount revard in 1925. To reach the exclusive mountain retreat, passengers would take the train to Aix-les-bains and then a cog railway up the mountain to the terminus station and the resort. The Hotel was demolished in the mid 1950s. This is an original vintage poster, printed in 1927.
