Description: Built in the early half of the 12th century, Angkor Wat is considered to be the largest single religious monument in the world. Today, its ruins are still thought of as a holy Hindu site. . calling forth to the various pilgrims shown in the foreground of this design. George Groslier was a member of the French expedition that spearheaded the preservation of the ruins, and was the head curator of the first museum at Angkor Wat. It was created for the Touring Club of France in 1911, with the itinerary of the long adventure trip printed in the medallion. It is considered one of the most beautiful travel posters ever created. Printed by Daude in Paris. This is an original vintage poster.
