William Jenack Auctioneers sale of January 29, 2017 will feature a lifetime collection of Americana from the Estate of Rosemary Franck.  Rosemary Franck was a long time antique dealer and furniture refinisher , known as “Rosemary the Stripper”.  Along with the collection Jenack will be offering jewelry, silver, carpets and decorative accessories.

Furniture highlights include country cherry linen press with red wash, grain painted pine cupboard, Riley Whiting Winchester Ct. tall case clock in red wash, country fruitwood corner cabinet, fine grain painted mule chest, grain painted cupboard, country pine bench in red wash, country pine step-back cupboard, cherry corner cupboard, country pine grain painted blanket box, country cherry glazed cupboard with painted interior, set of 6 Pennsylvania smoke grained and painted arrow-back plank seat side chairs, Victorian wicker Recamier (Heywood & Wakefield), Shaker #7 shawl back rocking chair, Victorian carved walnut secretary.

Silver being sold include Russian silver inkwell, Russian silver Klezmer musician vodka cups, Russian Judaic silver trinket box, Russian silver filigree egg, Russian silver grogger (noise maker), Russian traveling icon with silver oklad, Imperial Russian Filigree silver covered box signed I. Avdeyev Moscow ca. 1859, Gorham sterling flatware “Camellia” pattern, along with numerous other silver items.

Jewelry lots to be offered include 18K white gold and fancy cut synthetic ruby, South West American Indian pendants, bracelets and earrings, tray lots of sterling and gemstone set rings, Mexican onyx and sterling necklace, Whiting and Davis mesh bib form necklace, Birmingham 375 yellow gold reticulated framed shell cameo, Pandora bracelets, Tiffany & Co. sterling mesh bracelet, silver multi-beaded cuff bracelet.

Artwork will include an oil on canvas portrait of a young boy with a dog attributed to Ammi Phillips, naïve oil on canvas view of the Hudson River, oil on canvas water mill and cherry blossoms, pair ink and watercolor portraits, English School oil on canvas portrait of a young girl, pair of Hudson Valley portraits in the manner of Zedekiah Belnap, American School oil on canvas portrait of a young man, oil on canvas figures in a wooded landscape by Jan Willem Van Borselen, English School oil on canvas “A Bit Of Norwich” bearing signature J.S. Cotman, oil on canvas landscape with swans signed J. Thomas and French School oil on canvas Bathers.

A collection of stoneware will include examples made by Edmonds & Company, NY, Stoneware Co. Edward NY, White’s Utica, Adam Caire Poughkeepsie and W.W. & D. Weston Ellenville NY.

Other lots of note is a Victorian carved wood carousel horse, copper cow weather vane, Dr. Daniels Veterinary medicine cabinet, carved wood and painted hobby horse, needlepoint samplers made by Emma Baker 1854, Mary Roy age 9 ca. 1840, Anna Marlow Feb. 1 1828.
