Subordinate to the Benedictine abby of Fulda, Lauterbach received the town privilege from Abbot Bertho in 1266. Diameter 4,8 cm.

Description: A limestone figure of the Virgin with Child, Lorrain, second quater 14th century, worked in full round. Standing full-figure of the Virgin holding the Child with her right hand. The Virgin with lowered gaze, crowned and veiled, the lost right hand once holding a sceptre. The Child wears a long garment. It is only preserved as a fragment, shoulders, head, the right and left hand once holding a bird lost. The sculpture can be dated into the second quarter of the 14th century in comparison with a sculpture from Lorrain representing the Virgin with Child, today in the Badische Landesmuseum (inv. no. V19591) and recently exhibited in Saarbrücken. The nose of the Virgin added, a filled diagonal crack through shoulder and neck. With wear. Height 66 cm.

Standing full-figure, designed for a frontal viewpoint, the right foot in contrapposto. The bishop wears a mitra with infula and a stola, the under-garment falling to the floor in vertical folds and contrasting with the drapery of the mantle. The hands holding a book and crozier, later additions. Fine vertical cracks, mounted on a new wooden plinth. Height 50 cm (without plinth).

At the right side the Virgin and Joseph with the infant Christ, at the left side the shepherds, of which one carrys a lamb. The group is covered by the roof of the stable, which, in term, is covered with shingles and straw and supported by columns. This lot forms a group with the two subsequent lots with further scenes from the life of Christ using the same material and a similar style. Traces of weathering, with wear. 69 x 46 x 20 cm.

Description: A carved nutwood high relief figure of Saint Agnes, circle of Pietro Alamanno, the reverse flattened. Old polychrome, the incarnate retouched. Standing full-figure of the saint, originally holding a lamb in her right hand as her attribute. The style of the sculpture, datable between 1460/1470, is closely related to the work of Pietro Alamanno, a sculptor of German origin but active in Italy, influenced by Hans Multscher. Left hand and attribute of the saint missing. On the reverse a crack. With wear. Height 130 cm.

Description: A carved wood figure of Saint Pancras, remains of old polychromy. The figure in armour carved in full round, the peculiar hat indicating that the figure might represent Saint Pancras. Attributes (probably lance and shield) missing. Crack on the reverse. The lower back corner of the plinth added. Mounted on a flat base. Height 81 cm (without base).
