PAIR OF ANTIQUE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE CUPS WITH CHENGHUA MARKS

Lot 1: PAIR OF ANTIQUE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE CUPS WITH CHENGHUA MARKS

Description: A nice pair of Chinese porcelain cups or small bowls dating to the 18th century or earlier. The cups are each hand painted in underglaze blue. They are hand painted with what appears to be a design of Lingzhi with a character above. A similar design is painted in the interior as well. The undersides are marked with a six character Chenghua mark in a double ring. They measure just under 4 inches across and are in excellent condition with the exception of some small nips and spots of glaze loss on the rim. The underside of each has four clean drill marks, possibly for dating samples. We are unsure as this is how we received the pair.
