Sale Notes:
The paintings that are up for auction nicely illustrate the passion of this collector from Berlin. The regional reference becomes apparent when looking at examples such as "View on Potsdam" by Paul Lehmann-Brauns or Max Tilke's "Gray Day in Zehlendorf". Not only do they demonstrate an attachment to the home region but also a fondness of landscape painting around the turn of the century." Other names that can be found amongst the celebrated artists from Berlin are Herbert Kuron, Otto Beyer, Alfred Schwarz, Hans Schleich and Otto Günther-Naumburg, which make up the core of the collection with idyllic landscape paintings, colourful still lifes and striking portraits. http://auctionata.com
