Illustration that was later turned into an engraving. Engraved by M. Pool. Its source is unknown. C. 1732. Explanations of synagogue procedures under the engraving. Men standing in the main hall, flanked by the women's galleries. The Holy Ark is open and the rabbi is lifting the Torah scrolls and blessing the congregation. Artist's signature in the plate on the bottom of the lithograph, dated, 'Jerusalem, 12.4.1839'. This pool was used during the Second Temple era as a water source and for healing purposes. Published by T.G. Moon, London, c. 1842.Featrued in his book: The Holy Land, vol 1, plate 12.English. 32.5 x49 cm. (43.5x59.5 cm. inclusive). Excellent condition. Thick, quality paper. Tiny marginal tears, without loss.David Roberts (1796-1864) was a Scottish artist. He toured Palestine in 1838-1840 and sketched pictures of the country. His illustrations, watercolors and oil paints, are famous. Upon his return to Britain he prepared these lithographs by Louis Haghe (1806-1885) between 1842-1849.

Description: Map of Israel after the Declaration of Independence, 1949. The map marks the 'Road of Valor' that was paved at the end of 1948, and Eilat is designated Umm Al-Rashrash! However, in the index of settlements, it is already listed as Eilat, which was captured in March, 1949. It seems that when the map was first arranged Eilat was still known as Umm Al-Rashrash, however, it was captured and its name changed before the final printing of the map.Nice, colored printing, marking the Israel - Egypt, and Israel - Lebanon and Syria borders. Without the borders between Israel and Gaza and Israel-Jordan. Impressive illustrations, such as the Negba ship on the Mediterranean Sea.Tel Aviv, Aviva lithograph, Montefiore neighborhood.
