Another is that the main border has a motif of turtles executed in the same colors as those found in the field of the rug. These turtles have been placed on a white ground that is separated by a geometric design that encapsulates each turtle. The guard borders of "barber pole" rust and white and the other small borders with their flower heads and vines are like those seen in Caucasian rugs. This is probably a Kurdish Persian rug, a compilation of the good features of several different types of rugs.
