Description: Chinese Qing Manchu Official's Winter Hat, Braided Queue and Accessories. 1st and 2nd items: Black wool and silk skull cap with upturned brim, the crown covered with a red twine fringe bound by a coral colored ball or finial bearing a shou (good luck) symbol, with a single-eye peacock feather attached by a white Peking glass cylindrical holder, together with a braided queue of hair. 3rd item: Pair of spectacles with bronze mounts and the original silk embroidered spectacle case. 6" L. 4th item: Black lacquer cylindrical document holder with the original silk cord. 16" L. Badge with central Golden Pheasant above waves with bat and shou (good luck) symbol border. A pair of gold silk brocade leggings with allover shou decoration accompanies the robe. Robe measures 42 1/2" L. Leggings measure 30 3/4" L. Late 19th/early 20th century. Provenance: Collection of Milligan College, Tennessee. Description: Elaborately carved Chinese export hardwood settee, the crest with dragons flanking a central carved vignette of rats among berries, the back support with two fan-carved vignettes of monkeys, deer, cranes, and other birds flanking a central circular vignette of three scholars and a horse. Carved bird finials atop rear stiles, dragon form arms, the openwork apron with bird and foliate carving, lion carved knees and claw and ball feet. 41 3/4" H x 57 1/2" W x 29 3/4" D. 20th century.

The presence of other lotus buds around her skirts suggests this may have been a fertility figure, since the Bodhisattva was associated with granting children. 6-1/4"H. Circa 1900.

Description: 1st item: 14k yellow gold gent's sapphire and diamond ring, bright finish shank with oval sapphire weighing approximately 2.3 cts and two round brilliant diamonds with a total weight of approximately 1.20 cts and all bezel set in satin finish top. Ring face: 7/8" H x 3/4" W, 31 grams, ring size: 10. 2nd item: 14k yellow gold signet ring with hand-carved shield and head armour, 17.5 grams, ring size: 9 3/4. 3rd item: 14K yellow gold (tested) ring with carved carnelian bust of gentleman, 10.8 grams, ring size 9. Small crack in shank.

Retains original box. 7" L plus safety chain, 4.30 to 7.00 mm wide. 17.60 grams total. Circa 1980.
