By participating in any sale, Bidder hereby acknowledges to be bound by these terms and conditions. 1. If the foregoing conditions or any other applicable conditions herein are not complied with, in addition to other remedies available to us and the consignor by law, including but without limitation to the right to hold the Purchaser liable for the purchase price, we, at our option, may either: (i) cancel the sale, retaining as liquidated damages all payments made by the Purchaser, or (ii) re-sell the property on three (3) Days Notice to the Purchaser and for the account and risk of the Purchaser, either publicly or privately, and in such event the Purchaser shall be liable for the payment of any deficiency plus all costs and expenses of both sales, our commission at our regular rates, all other charges due and incidental damages. 2. We Reserve the Right to withdraw any property at any time before the actual sale. Unless otherwise announced by Auctioneer at the time of sale, all bids are per lot as numbered in the catalogue & not divisible for sale. 3. We Reserve the Right to Reject a Bid from any bidder. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer shall be the Purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, or in the event the Auctioneer doubts the validity of any bid, the Auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and re-sell the article in dispute. All statements contained in the catalogue or in any bill of sale, invoice or elsewhere as to authorship, period, source, origin, measurement or condition are qualified statements and shall not be deemed to be guarantee's, representations or warranties. Please note: (i) These Terms and Conditions of Sale take precedence over any statements made to the contrary by the Auctioneer, staff or affiliates. If the Auctioneer warrants the quality or condition of a lot during or before the auction, that statement is not binding on the Auction House or the Buyer and the "as is" provisions of these Terms and Conditions take precedence. (ii) Notwithstanding the statement in paragraph 7, buyers have the right to a refund under certain circumstances. Within 48 hours of their receipt of the property buyers must inform us that the physical condition materially differs from the catalogue description, from a provided condition report or the catalogue description is inaccurate. Buyers must formally request a return with a satisfactory reason. When granted the auction house will accept the return of the property which must clearly show differences or inaccuracies with the catalogue description and the property must be received in the same condition as when it was sent. If there is a disagreement we may require an expert opinion in writing. (iii) As conditions are not always included in the lot description, prospective bidders should inspect all property before bidding to determine condition, size, and whether or not it has been repaired or restored. Absence of condition statements are not indications that lots are free of flaws/damage or without signs of wear consistent with age. As a courtesy to Registered & Approved Bidders, a Condition Report may be available on most items upon request. Please contact info@globalluxuryauctions.com to request a condition report. Per these Terms & Conditions; Condition Reports are an Educated Opinion but should not be held as absolute guarantees. If there are any known repairs or modifications this will be noted. 8. Expert opinion service may be available for verbal consultation or written appraisal services by request. The bidder, buyer or inquirer will be billed in-advance for the service. 10. Anatol Krasnyansky

Estimate: $725 - $1,015

Description: "Ceremony 1998" Gallery Retail Price $2500-2,000.00 Limited Edition Print Serigraph in Watercolor on Woven Paper 38/50 Print Size: 22 x 29 inches | 55 x 73 cm Edition: From the HC edition of 50 Framed: Framed Hand Signed: Signed And Numbered in Ink Anatole Krasnyansky (born in 1930; Kiev, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian-American artist who has gained prominence by pioneering a new watercolor technique. Through experimentation, Krasnyansky's introduced paper texture into his creative process and made it a dynamic component of his watercolors, resulting in an expansion of the medium's potential. With this new creative process, Krasnyansky added texture and depth to the watercolor medium and expanded its expressive possibilities to a level usually associated with oil painting. He was born in Kiev, growing up and living during the times when Ukraine was a part of the U.S.S.R. Krasnyansky received master's degrees in fine art and architecture. He was already well known in the U.S.S.R. for his classical themes and keen perspective; however, he found that the freedom of expression that he needed in his artwork could not be found within the strictures of the Soviet Union and moved to the United States in 1975. Since his arrival to the U.S. in 1975, the artist has found important uses for his knowledge of architecture, design and his creative imagination, and he has realized his tremendous potential and achieved virtuosity in several different artistic areas. Bordering on the surreal, Krasnyansky's figures never depart from the recognizable. Altogether new in form, they contain echoes of the artist's Eastern heritage, the cubist ideas of Picasso and Braque and the modernity and energy of American culture… culminating in works of dazzeling color and brilliant mastery of perspective and lines, born of years as an architect. Still each and everyone of Krasnyansky's works, since his move to the United States, has formed to his new style of creative imagery. Anatole began working as a scenic artist for ABC and CBS, including the production of two Academy Awards shows. He subsequently became a set designer for Universal Studios (credits including The Blues Brothers and Battlestar Galactica) and the Stage Art Director for the Odyssey Theatre. Krasnyansky has become known worldwide for his surrealist masked figures. Biography from the Archives of askART Krasnyansky's work has been exhibited at the Dalzell Hatfield Galleries in their exhibition "International Watercolor Masters", along with works from Marc Chagall, Camille Pissarro, and Diego Rivera. Krasnyansky's work has been featured in exhibitions at Stanford University and UCLA and has also been shown in solo exhibitions in Japan and around the United States.

Antique Persian Bakhtiari Rug #348

Estimate: $9,750 - $13,650

Description: Antique over 150 years old. Originally retailed at a Beverly Hills Gallery and have been housed for decades by the owner who is over 80 years old and is liquidating to retire. VINTAGE RUGS ARE GUARANTEED & RATED BETWEEN VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT CONDITION ACCORDING TO EXPERT OPINION. ANTIQUE RUGS CONDITION MAY VARY DUE TO AGE. PLEASE INQUIRE TO REQUEST MORE PHOTOS, A CONDITION REPORT OR A SHIPPING ESTIMATE. WE WILL BE HAPPY TO DO OUR BEST TO ACCOMMODATE (*MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT) PLEASE CONTACT: BLOVETT.LIQUIDATIONS@GMAIL.COM While originally woven by nomadic Bakhtiari,[3] most authentic Bakhtiari rugs are woven in Bakhtiari settled communities in west central Iran southwest of Isfahan, Chahar Mahaal and Bakhtiari and parts of the provinces of Isfahan, Lorestan, and eastern Khuzestan, most notably in the town of Shahr-Kurd.[4] Bakhtiari rugs were also known after their place of origin, such as Saman or Hureh (Hori).[4] Bakhtiari carpets are based on a cotton foundation (warp) with a wool weft[5] usually taken from the herds of the producing tribe. This leads to unique carpets that differ depending on the characteristics of each tribe’s wool. The wool can range from dull to extreme glossy and the resultant pile is clipped medium to high. The best carpets with the highest knot density are often known as Bibibaff.[6] Prices range considerably with the highest knot density rugs generally being the most expensive, but price is also affected by criteria such as the pattern and the dyes used. The sizes vary from narrow hall carpets to large room designs, often up to 4 x 5 meters. The larger rugs tend to be very rare and harder to come by. Similarly, older rugs, often coveted by collectors, can be extremely costly. Patterns are usually floral or garden inspired. The Khesti, an established garden motif is perhaps the most well-known rug design. The carpet is divided into individual squares with animals and plants acting as symbols. Another influential design features a decorated field with lattice designs and floral ornaments. The use of colors varies depending on styles of certain tribes. Generally they include shades of white, reds, browns, greens, and yellows. Blue does not appear to feature.[citation needed] Natural dyes produce variations in color, which are particularly obvious on older Bibibaffs.
