A house fire in 1901 gave Stickley the opportunity to renovate the interior to suit his Craftsman-style taste, making his home an early American example of an exclusively Arts & Crafts designed interior. This sideboard is quite rare and only four examples of this form are known. The remaining examples reside in the collections of The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, The Two Red Roses Foundation and The Crab Tree Farm Foundation, where the sideboard was exhibited at the Dallas Museum of Art.

Condition Report: Finish wear to top, some staining and seam separation to one board. Hardware repatinated by Michael Adams, Aurora Studios. Veneer on doors has been replaced, some edge chips. Interior of door has veneer patches at top. Some veneer loss to legs at side. Overcoated finish to interior sections at sides of cabinet.
