Description: .31 caliber, 5" six shot barrel cluster. This underhammer ring trigger pepperbox features lovely loose flowing scroll engraving on the frame in about full coverage. The condition of the gun is spectacular. The ribbed barrels retain about 95% strong original blue finish with the nipples showing nearly all of their straw colored hardened finish. The frame shows a little flaking but still retains 60 - 70% bright original blue with the flaked areas bearing a perfect smooth brown patina. The ring trigger and hammer retain lots of original fire blue. The bag shaped walnut grips rate excellent with 97% original finish remaining. The face of the muzzle is marked "PM" and "6" over a dot and the barrel cluster retaining screw retains lots of bright fire blue but does show a little slot wear. The pepperbox comes in its original red baize mahogany case with compartments which house the original cleaning / ramrod, leather covered two compartment powder flask, three cavity mould with nipple wrench and turn screw on end of each handle. The condition of the case and accessories is excellent with the lining faded to an attractive antique pink color. The lock catch is missing from lid as is the lock escutcheon on front of case. Description: serial #62, .31 caliber, 2 1/2" part round part octagon barrel. This scarce little pistol remains in very nice original condition. The barrel retains about 70% original blue finish with areas of loss bearing a pleasing smooth brown patina. The frame retains about 25% original blue finish with the balance bearing a pleasing smooth gray brown patina. The left side of the frame shows lovely 19th century factory scroll engraving. The tape primer door also shows factory scroll engraving and retains about 60% bright original fire blue. The hammer shows strong original color case-hardened finish. The two piece rosewood grips rate excellent with 95% original finish remaining. The left grip panel had a large section that is much lighter in color, this is sapwood, it is not a repair, the left panel is one piece of wood. The frame retains 98% original color case-hardened finish which has mellowed slightly but remains quite vivid. The sides of hammer show very slight staining which could be easily remedied. The checkered hard rubber eagle grips rate mint. The revolver comes in its original stagecoach box with warranty card and instruction sheet. The condition of the box is near excellent with one separated corner on lid. Revolver comes with factory letter confirming the configuration and showing shipment to Conlin Bros. The bright-polished barrel shows some minor pitting on its right radius but is otherwise excellent. The checkered hard plastic "FB/VIS" grips rate excellent. The barrel is numbered "43" on the front of its lug, the slide and frame are numbered alike and the slide is dated 1939. A single "G2" stamped magazine is included. Description: serial #1146/5988, 9 mm Bergmann Bayard, 3 7/8" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces on this Danish-manufactured "Haerens Tojhus" marked vintage semi-auto pistol retain about 80% original blue, the loss is due primarily to light fading, high edge and contact point wear with the minor handling marks and scratches one would expect from a military arm. The hammer, trigger and magazine release are polished bright and are mostly brilliant with perhaps a tiny oxidation stain or two. The circular press-checkered arsenal-fitted walnut grips rate very good with overall minor handling marks and light dings from use. The extractor retains vivid fire tempered blue and the magazine and front extension of the frame are both numbered "1146. The gun comes with an original metal-tipped Danish holster which rates very good overall with the body rating excellent with tight stitching and seams but with the cover flap showing a good deal of scuffing, light flaking and handling marks. The internal pouches feature a spare magazine numbered "1016" and each of the ammunition pouches holds a nickeled stripper clip, one showing some minor-moderate damage; the cleaning rod is intact along the leading edge of the holster. Really a very complete and rather nice example of the Danish arsenal-manufactured Bergmann Bayard pistol. (35575-5) {C&R}

The metal surfaces retain about 95-97% original green phosphate finish with loss being primarily high edge wear with some minor handling marks. The black resin grips rate very good plus showing only minor scuffing and handling marks and the lanyard ring is intact on the left side of the frame. Barrel, slide and frame are all numbered alike and the right side of the barrel and slide show appropriate military acceptance markings. One original phosphate finish magazine is included. The walnut shoulder stock-holster rates excellent overall with some minor dings and handling marks from very light use with the iron retaining nearly all its original green phosphate finish. The stock is marked "S.A.Ltd./1945" and retains its fiber muzzle insert with the interior spring retaining most of its black japanning. This is a rather nice early transitional model, retaining about 95-97% original dark blue, which appears as a strong 98% under normal lighting (under high-intensity light the slide can be seen to have some honest light fading to brown). The fully checkered walnut grips rate about excellent, the left grip showing a couple minor flattened points and one light impact mark midway down its length. The Colt barrel is appropriately "HP" marked atop its hood and a single "R" marked two-tone dual-pinned base magazine is included. Metal surfaces retain about 92-95% original blue, the loss due to some light fading, high edge wear and some wear on the underside of the barrel. The lock frame and hammer are a hardened gun metal gray and the safety, extractor and rear sight slide all retain very nice pale fire temper blue which has faded somewhat on the bolt stop. The grooved red 9 walnut grips rate about excellent with only minor handling marks and all their original enamel, they are stamped-numbered to the gun. The original lanyard loop is intact and all the pistol's numbers are matching. The walnut shoulder stock rates excellent with only minor dings and handling marks. The iron is numbered "033" and retains only traces of original blue with some very sparsely scattered very light spots of oxidation; the hinge retains generous traces of flaked original blue. The leather holster harness is a maker marked "Carl Trenner/Berlin/1916" and rates about excellent with tight stitching and seams, all the flex points showing light crackling but being supple overall. An original cleaning rod is included in the holster and there is a spare magazine spring in the front pouch pocket. There is a name written on the body of the holster in antique ink pen, it can unfortunately no longer be deciphered. Overall this is a super matching gun-holster-stock rig in a very seldom encountered state of condition. (35528-69) {C&R}

The classic style AAA Claro walnut stock rates excellent to very nearly as-new, it's only detractor being three very tiny dings along the comb line. The stock features a contrasting ebony forend tip, blue steel skeleton pistolgrip cap, blue steel Niedner style buttplate, shadowline cheekpiece and Talley style swivel bases. The forearm features a full wrap-around checkering pattern with nice panels at the pistolgrip and on the exposed wood at the skeleton gripcap, all flawlessly executed. The original hooded front sight ramp and dual-leaf express rear sight on quarter rib are intact as are the factory scope bases; the bolt knob is neatly dual-panel checkered. The original caliber marking is "40 1 7/8" with a period added, probably factory mark "2 1/2" after the 1 7/8". Opening the chamber would have been an easy and minor alteration, it is period done and beautifully marked. The condition of this rifle is fabulous. The barrel retains 95% original blue and is marked on top with Bridgeport address and "Old Reliable". The action features hard rubber panels and retains 95% plus original color case-hardened finish which remains very strong and vivid, just toned slightly. The checkered pistolgrip buttstock and forend have wonderful figure and rate excellent plus with 95% original finish remaining and with just couple very light handling marks. The checkered hard rubber buttplate and pistolgrip cap rate excellent with no chips. The rifle is sighted with a windgauge front with spirit level, ladder rear and original mid-range Vernier tang mounted peepsight. This is a spectacular rifle, fresh out of the woodwork and brought into a New England gun shop earlier this year. This rifle would be very difficult to upgrade; investment quality. The metal surfaces retain about 98% original blue, the loss is due only to a scattered very light spot of oxidation here and there, both on the barrel and receiver, the receiver also showing a few light handling scratches from the years. The loading gate still retains strong fire temper with nearly all the original vibrant case colors on the hammer and lever. The straight grip walnut buttstock with shotgun butt rates excellent as does the forend, both showing only very light, near overall, handling marks. The original silver blade front sight is intact as is the Rocky Mountain rear sight, the front blade having been regulated slightly. Description: serial #420736, 30 GovÕt Õ06,?24" round barrel with a near excellent bore that shows just a little light frosting in the grooves. This rifle remains in very fine condition with the barrel retaining 97% original blue finish. The action retains about 85% original blue with the loss due to flaking and with those areas taking on a pleasing gray brown patina. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent with 95% original finish remaining and just a few light handling marks and one small mark on right side. The buttplate is nickel plated and 97% of that finish remains; it appears original. The rifle is sighted with a Lyman beaded blade front, two leaf folding rear and a Lyman 21 Jack sight. Description: serial #354380B, 38 WCF, 24" octagon barrel with full magazine and a very good plus, bright bore. The barrel and magazine retain 75% evenly thinning original blue finish which is blending with a brown patina. The action retains about 30% original blue which is evenly blending with a smooth brown patina. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent with 95% original finish remaining and with just a few normal light handling marks. Rifle is sighted with standard open sporting sights. This rifle appears to have been improperly stored and while it is still a nice collectible gun, if stored properly it likely would have been quite minty. A good solid 1873 rifle. Description: serial #590539B, 38 WCF, 24" octagon barrel with full magazine and a bright excellent bore. This rifle is in nice condition with the barrel and magazine retaining 80% evenly thinning original blue finish. The top flat of barrel between the proof and sight is stamped "GEO. PIPER" who was apparently a past owner of the rifle. The action retains about 50% original blue finish with silvery edges. The hammer retains strong original color case-hardened finish while the lever has faded and is more silvery gray. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate very good with 20% original finish remaining but have a nice surface and nice appearance. The rifle is equipped with King beaded blade front and King sporting rear sights. The lever catch is missing from the lower tang. Overall a good solid 1873. (15556-23) {C&R}

Description: serial #325281B, 32 WCF, 24" round barrel with full magazine and a bright excellent bore. This is a very nice rifle that has lots of condition. The barrel and magazine retain about 85% evenly thinning original blue finish with the barrel beginning to blend with a smooth brown patina. The action retains 90% plus original blue finish which is bright and with loss due to just a little light thinning. The hammer and lever retain strong original color case-hardened finish. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent with 90% plus original finish remaining and with some light handling marks on right side of forend. The rifle is sighted with a standard sporting front, blank in rear slot and Lyman No. 1 combination tang sight with finely knurled staff. All screw heads are clean. This is a very nice 1873 rifle produced in 1890. (15550-4) {ANTIQUE}
