All 3 scarabs are impeccably carved with naturalistic scarab markings. The combination of the colors create a very striking necklace. Newer pin on one side with a diorite or possibly porphyry square stone modified with a fastener.

Description: Sacred Egyptian blue glazed composition menat counterpoise (marked in red Metropolitan Museum # S.L. 2152.1 exhibited 1921, acq Egypt 1906 Dubois) of goddess Hathor below with god Bes in cat form seated on either side. Upper section has a standing figure of Isis with cow's horns & disc holding a papyrus scepter in her left hand with a winged solar disc above as she looks down on Harpokrates. The reverse side is flat unglazed & has notations of garbled hieroglyphics unable to decipher.

Condition Report: Major repairs across entire piece in an S shape & 1 diagonal section & 1 across upper section . Wear to glaze on front in various areas.

All bezels have been attached with newer metal clasp to necklace.

With newer ring clasps attached at each end.

Description: Egyptian turquoise glazed composition lion-headed Goddess Sekhmet (acq. 1906 Egypt, Dubois, exhibited MoM, Ca 1968) with close fitting robe wearing tripartite wig and sun-disc & uraeus, striding on plinth with pillar at back. The regal features on the face of the lion shows the creative artistry on this piece. Comes on newer stand affixed with soft wax.

Condition Report: Break & repair through entire middle & upper right arm. Some possible glue residue on lion's maine & back of sun disc, chip on back pillar, still a wonderful piece!

Description: Large deep blue glazed composition Egyptian Shabti (acq. 1906 Egypt, Dubois, exhibited MoM, Ca 1968) when 2 pieces put together reads: " The Osiris, Prophet of Amun-Re, King of the Gods, Nespaneferher(Nespaneferre), true of voice" (Possibly from Deir el-Bahari based on Mrs.Dubois notes 'belonging to priest of Amen'1906). The Shabti figure is shown in typical mummiform style, wearing striated tripartite wig, with arms crosses, right over left. Netted seed basket on reverse. He holds two hoes in his hands, for working the land in the afterlife. Marked museum#215 on both halves.

Condition Report: Obviously broken in half, heavy pitting & residual in upper front & superficial cracking around neck

Description: Egyptian turquoise glazed composition menat necklace (from Tell el-Amarna per Metropolitan Museum catalog card exh. 1920, acq Egypt 1906 Dubois) with 12 large barrel shaped beads (1 1/2"/4 cm) interspersed with tiny beads and a large blue glazed menat (2 1/4"x 1 1/4" x 1/16") Glazed composition menat is thin but heavy, may contain greater metallic components in the composition. The menat was used in ceremonial events relating to the Goddess Hathor & was often made of bronze.

Condition Report: Excellent, no cracks or repairs, all intact. Dark spot on menat possibly bitumen stained based on Mrs..Dubois handwritten notes 1906.

Description: Egyptian carnelian & jasper amulet necklace with magical & protective properties. Marked in red # '45.930' (acq. 1906 Egypt, Dubois, exhibited museums: Met NY 1920, Boston 1945, MoM CA 1968) on central carnelian pendant of bull or possibly ram (3/4" x 3/4") flanked by 2 large carnelian Tawaret amulets (1" x 1/2") that are for female protection & childbirth. These 3 amulets are surrounded with a wonderful collection of carnelian & jasper amulets (1/4" - 3/4") includes square & cowroid beads, cowrie shell, goose of Amun, scarabs, hippo (Tawaret), Pataikos, Harpokrates & interspersed with carnelian and jasper beads. Newer clasp at each end.

Condition Report: Overall very good: Central carnelian pendant has 1 ear chipped off & little wear to other side, some tiny chips & scratches on some of the amulets.

Description: Egyptian solid cast electrum amulets ( from the Tukh el Garmus treasure per Mrs. Dubois & Met Museum catalog notes, exh. 1930, acq Egypt 1906 Dubois) of 2 female goddesses (marked on underside of each plinth Metropolitan museum # L 2152.17 & L2152.16) with loops in back for suspension (although very corroded). The taller (1 5/8") wears the double crown of Egypt (Isis ), the smaller (1 1/2') is the lion headed goddess(Sekhmet). Both walking forward with left leg on narrow rectangular plinths, female forms still evident although corrosion has covered some of the details.

Condition Report: Both amulets very black & corroded although they both have some areas of electrum color showing through. The crown headdress spiral wire has been broken off.
