Description: No. 46. A combination of revolver, dagger and knuckleduster. Six-shot cylinder with fourteen-groove rifled bore in calibre 8 mm SF, floral engraved. Front right of frame signed "DOLNE-BAR / INV.BREVETE. Folding trigger. Double action. Belgian circa 1870, length 11.5/24.5 cm. Very good overall condition of a rare collector´s item. Note: the revolver owes its name to "Les Apaches", the nickname for members of the Paris underworld.

Description: Octagonal, micro-rifled, twisted, 12 mm cal. etched Damascus barrels, with fore -and rear-sight. Lower hammers, trigger guards with finger support. Walnut butts with checkered neck. Long tang signed "Par Brevet J. B. Cessier, St. Etienne". French circa 1840, length 36 cm. Contained in a mahogany case with purple lined interior, the lid with trade label for manufacture J. B. Cessier, complete with loading rod, turnscrew, powder flask, powder measure and bullet mould, dimensions 38 x 6,5 x 29,5 cm. For Jean Baptiste Cessier see "Der Neue Stockel" Vol. 1 page 200. He worked in Paris and Versailles manufacture, later in St. Etienne between 1839 - 1845, he invented important systems and created luxury arms with damask barrels. Condition 2+
