Description: 1900-1920s Makah Multi Color Lidded Basket. This Makah basket has the typical multi weave techniques using several kinds of grasses and other materials and has several different colors in the beautiful decorative patterns. There is a 1'' tear on the rim, and the lid is difficult to fit on the basket body now, but otherwise the basket is in good condition. It measures 2.5''H x 7.25''W. The Nootka and Makah are both northwest coast occupants. The Nootka occupy Vancouver Island, British Columbia and the Makah are on the northwest Washington mainland. Both groups have similar basketry techniques.

Description: 3 Effigy Micro-Miniature Acoma Pueblo Bird Bowls. Turkey effigy signed by artists Delores Lewis is 1''H x 1.25''W. Dolores Lewis (1938-)is a daughter of renowned potter Lucy M. Lewis. Dolores is renown for her classic shapes and finely painted designs. They are all inspired by the use of the deer imagery in historic Zuni and Acoma pottery. Dolores has won numerous awards for her pottery and continues the legacy of her mother's traditional imagery on her pottery. The two effigy birds by artist A Carpuz.
