Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data

Artists of the show which ran from February 28 - March 20, 1975, included Wallace Berman, Joan Brown, Bruce Conner, Jay De Feo, George Herms, Jess, Robert Lavigne and more. With poem by Michael McClure, which helps to explain the title of the art show "Art as a Muscular Principle." The book with the name Robert Emory Johnson (a San Francisco artist) on the first blank leaf, plus he writes notes on the backside of the pair of framed invitations. He writes: "Jay sent this to me (The "new" photo) and said "This is the real 'Art as a Muscular Principal'". I got Merrill Greene started on this project. Her thesis at Holyoke [was] Art as a Muscular Principal[sic]. Jays photo of herself in Larkspur kitchen (mopping the floor in high heel shoes)." Great lot of San Francisco Counterculture art.
