Description: PAIR ROYAL WORCESTER PORCELAIN PORTRAIT URNS: Artist signed RID, each with the image of a beautiful woman. Embossed and gilt body with a series of masks along the base. One urn bears the Worcester date mark for 1890.
Condition Report: The urn with the blonde portrait has been professionally restored, joining the pedestal to the body. In adddition, They are moat wonderful as one views them side by side on the shelf. Unfortunately they have a few discrepancies as shown in our on line photos. One urn is just fine but for one minor fleck to the gold around the vase opening, very minor. The other has a larger inward chip to the rim area opening. When viewing a side by side bottom view, one can see a metal washer and nut with its purpose being to hold the upper and lower halves together. This separation can also be viewed in the photo where the largest part of the body connects to the base. Noticeable now, but certainly restorable. No other cracks or chips. Thank you for thinking of Burchard Galleries Auctions.View additional info and full condition report
