XXII, 4'). A wholly exceptional Tetradrachm of Athens of very fine style, well-struck from fresh dies on a broad flan of excellent metal, the types well-centred and the owl in particular is remarkably attractive, the incuse square perfectly enveloped within the surrounding flan, beautifully toned, good extremely fine and incredibly difficult to find in anything approaching this high state of preservation, an outstanding example.
