Condition Report: There are two small paint chips to the canvas, and a slight separation to the canvas near the top center. Scattered chips to the gesso frame. The silvering of the mirror is cloudy and has some losses around the edges. Overall with good patina.

Description: Pair of Napoleon III Bronze Four-Light Candelabra, mid-19th century, now mounted as lamps, exuberantly shell and scroll molded, and set with fluted candlecups with shell-molded bobeches, the center socket now electrified with faux wax candles, h. 26", dia. 8-1/4".

Condition Report: The candelabra retain their original gilt lacquer surface, which has darkened in some areas. They have been wired but not fitted with plugs, so we cannot test them and we do not guarantee the working condition of electric fixtures. One arm is somewhat loose, and the bases have had two holes each drilled in them for wiring and/or switches.

Description: Two Napoleon III Ivory Necessaires de Dame, third quarter 19th century, Paris, including a rounded rectangular example by Maison Fenoux, fittings by Gustav Barbary, fils, l. 3-7/8", and an oval example by Maison Lepar, fittings by August Belleau, l. 4-1/2", each half of the clamshell cases carved from a single piece of ivory, with compartments for sewing scissors, thimble, needle case, awl and bodkin (the bodkin and awl shaft lacking on the Lepar example).

Condition Report: The oval example, by Lepar, is missing its bodkin, and the awl shaft has been broken. The other example is complete. Neither has decoration on the cover. We have included photographs of the signatures on the cases.
