Description: Unsigned but likely to be Sterling, 2 applied deer heads with one antler broken but still attached and could be repaired. Heavy side floral repousse work, probably 1870-1890 era, well detailed deer head and antlers. The dimensions are 8" for the bowl, 12" including the antlers, 6" tall to the top of the antlers. Weight of the bowl is 2 pounds 1 ounce.

Condition Report: Good condition, one antler is broken and can be repaired.

Description: 1830-45, probably NYC origin, 8 feet 2" tall, 46" wide, 21" deep, 30" tall to an angled writing surface that lifts and holds paper as well as envelopes. There are side compartments fitted for ink wells. Richly figured maple drawer fronts, this is a very structurally sound piece that looks great in a room. The secretary was refinished many, many years ago and has mellowed to where it looks old. There is applied floral carvings above the glass doors, descended in one old NYC family with old if not original keys remaining with it.

Condition Report: Excellent condition with old refinished surface and minor veneer nicks on edges that have been mostly repaired years ago.

Description: Descended in the family until now, and never offered for sale in 190 years. The legend reads This Work in hand my friends may have/When I am dead and in my grave/And when my work each time you see/With fond remembrances, think of me. Sarah Evans Teacher, My Parents Jonathan Thomas 1824 and Ruth Thomas 1824, Susanna Thomas's Work made in the 17th year of her age 1824. The sampler has strawberries as a border on all 4 sides, lovebirds in the center of the top with flowers on each side, urns and flowers, butterflies, small urns themes and motifs on the surface. Old but not original framing. The condition of the piece is unrestored, in good, original condition with no visible losses to fabric threads, but with the age, undoubtedly, there is something somewhere, but you would have to really look to find it. The Thomas family lived in Pennsylvania for several generations close to the greater Philadelphia area, according to family legend, they were Penn. Dutch. The teacher, Sarah Evans, was a known teacher from other samplers. The dimensions of the sampler are 20 1/2" wide by 22" tall, framed, 24 1/8" tall by 22 1/2" wide. There is some fading from age, but the sampler is in extremely good condition.

Description: Serial number 3249783 (1971), Style # 1550, this 34 MM Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date watch is a 26 jewel chronometer movement, champagne linen dial. 14K yellow gold smooth bezel, 14K yellow gold shell case with stainless steel back attached to a 14K yellow gold filled Oyster style bracelet. The bracelet has all of the Rolex markings both on the clasp and the interior of the clasp. This watch style is no longer in production. The watch is currently in good running condition. There is wear to the edges and surface of the bracelet that is consistent with being worn. We do not have the original box or paperwork with it.

Condition Report: Running condition, wear to the band from use, ready to wear today.

Description: Jerry Cowles was a well known and prominent citizen of Macon, Georgia. He was a Civil Engineer prior to the Civil War, captured at Amelia Court House on the 13th of April, 1865, imprisoned at Point Lookout, and released on June 19, 1865. He was the child of the founder of the Central Railroad of Georgia, and a financier who brought the tracks from Knoxville, Tenn., to Macon, Ga., as well as being the President of Ocmulgee Bank. President Andrew Johnson, succeeded President Lincoln when assonated. This Pardon is a standard government form that was filled out by a Secretary for President Johnson and signed by Johnson on July 21, 1865. The paper has old tears but is all there. There is amber discoloration to the paper as it has been in an acid backed frame for years. This came from a well known Palm Beach, Florida antique dealer, who apparently purchased this or had it framed by Earus Gallery of Madison Ave., in NYC. In Macon, Georgia, the family home was Woodruff House built for Mr. Cowles Father, the residence is now a museum on Mercer University Campus, the second home, the Jerry Cowles Cottage has been restored and is now a private residence. Mr. Cowles died in the Chicago Fire in 1871. The framed dimensions are 20" wide by 16" tall.

Condition Report: Acid stains to the paper, old tears but intact, all pieces there.

Description: Signed JMP and 07, Joppa Mountain Pottery is located in Grainger County, Tennessee. For several years, they exhibited regularly in high end folk art craft shows but due to health issues, now confine themselves close to home. This jug is similar to one we sold several years ago and features an ugly face with applied mustache, eyebrows, strange eyes and nose. There is a red streak of glaze purposely on the face jug's left eye area. There are fewer and fewer artisans making face jugs today.

Dimensions are just short of 5 feet wide by 6 feet tall. It does not state this but undoubtedly, this is from Ringling Bros. Circus from the logo.

Description: The back doors open with a pair of top hinged doors and a bottom drop down for animals to enter and be viewed. Someone has done an excellent job of making this for their family, red painted surface is old and good, wheels are decorated in a gypsy fashion, the Kole lettering is store stencils and there is a No. 38 on one side. There is a horse pulling yoke attached or can be removed if desired to the front area. 12 1/2" long by 8 1/2" tall by 6 inches wide. There is a wire seat frame on the top and a wire brake device by the seat. The front yoke measures some 9 1/2" long. This likely dates to the 1950s or prior.

This has a 1950s look about it.

Made in the mid 1950s by a lady in Eastern Tennessee, 84" x 92" plus the fringe that measures 5". This does not ever appear to have been washed and it does not need it now. This would be a fine wall hanging, table cloth or bed covering.

Description: Alexander Bower, 1875-1952, was a well know Maine artist, who lived in and around Cape Elizabeth. This painting seems to be a watercolor on artist board and is signed lower right A. Bower. The reason I say seems to be a watercolor is that in many regards it has a look of oils as well and may be a mixed media piece. On the back is an old penciled price of $125 with no title or date of the scene. Waves are crashing onto rocks with light reflecting on the water. Lots of action in this piece. Painting size is 26 1/2" wide by 19 1/2" tall, framed behind glass in what appears to be the original frame would be dimensions of 40" wide by 32" tall.

Description: Carmel curved glass slag top section to this ceiling light fixture leads down to a blue slag glass band border with a design of windmills and town houses in what is called filigree design for the edge. No makers name but 1900-1920 era, there are 8 panels of glass. The frame measures 20" wide by 14" tall and hangs from a 30" cap and chain that can be shortened if desired. The lamp has been rewired and has a porcelain socket for high watt bulbs to give extensive lighting. The brass fame is seemingly in good sturdy condition and there is no weakness anywhere on the sections holding the colored slag glass, none of which seems to have a crack.
