Star Trek IV The Voyage Home Proton Collector Prop

Lot 1: Star Trek IV The Voyage Home Proton Collector Prop

Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data

Description: This is a production made "Proton Collector" (also known as a "Power Leach"), from "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" (1986), one of the most beloved in the "Star Trek" feature series. One of three made-for-production 'Proton Collectors' for Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Created by prop-maker Richard Coyle and painted by the Paramount Studios prop department. Though only one of three were used on-screen no definitive documentation exists to say which of the three were used. One was returned to Richard Coyle and may have been screen-used and two were kept by Paramount - this is one of the two kept by Paramount. All were on set in San Diego for filming. Having the crew come to "our" home and time, gave the story a major fresh lift, as well as keeping the humor high and the message strong about how we are killing off our animal kingdom. This Proton Collector was used by Chekov (Walter Koenig) in the motion picture. Made of metal-hard plastics, the handle and main reader come apart. Being a production made prop to use on screen, the Collector has the switches on the back to power it up, and also includes three "dimmer wheels" to give the lights variance in brightness. The prop is in working condition. All the lights still work, as does the dimmer wheels. Approx 11.5"x4"x3" with both units attached. This item has been authenticated and marked with new technology by MovieProps DNA to prevent against fraud and counterfeiting. A panel of industry experts not affiliated with Premiere Props in the movie & TV memorabilia business has authenticated this item. This item now includes three levels of security: 1) DNA laced invisible ink - a 9-digit code laced with DNA ink is placed on an appropriate place of the prop/costume and can be only viewed using a high-frequency UV light. The chances of replicating the specific DNA sequence which is unique to MPDNA is 1 in 33 trillion. This DNA sequence is so secure it is admissible in a court of law.

 2) Archival Microchip Encrypted Tag - a patented, acid-free, 1"x 3" tag with an encrypted microchip is placed onto the Certificate of Authenticity. The microchip contained within the tag contains all of the pertinent information about the prop or costume. The tag is tamper proof and the microchip is encrypted, making it impossible to duplicate.
 3) The certificate also has the 9-digit DNA invisible ink mark which must match the 9-digit invisible ink mark on the prop. This will ensure that it is a genuine prop issued by Premiere Props and authenticated by MPDNA.

Star Trek: The Next Generation Phantasms Data's Severed Head w/ Circuitry

Lot 2: Star Trek: The Next Generation Phantasms Data's Severed Head w/ Circuitry

Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data

Description: Data's screen used severed head. "Star Trek: The Next Generation" had many remarkable episodes, but perhaps one of the most memorable and unusual was "Phantasms" in which Brent Spiner as "Data" is mysteriously inflicted with nightmares, something androids should be immune to by design. This is Data's hero screen used head from the opening scenes of the film, wherein he interrupts a group of very anachronistic pick-axe miners hacking away at the ship's warp-drive, only to have his arms and head removed forcibly by them in retaliation. Beautifully crafted from "Data colored" foam latex, with faux-hair, eyelashes, and very realistic plastic eyes, with "Data colored" irises. The severed neck exposes his instruments, circuits and tubing. Head is approx 12"x 10"x 8". This DNA sequence is so secure it is admissible in a court of law.?? 2) Archival Microchip Encrypted Tag - a patented, acid-free, 1"x 3" tag with an encrypted microchip is placed onto the Certificate of Authenticity. The microchip contained within the tag contains all of the pertinent information about the prop or costume. The tag is tamper proof and the microchip is encrypted, making it impossible to duplicate.? 3) The certificate also has the 9-digit DNA invisible ink mark which must match the 9-digit invisible ink mark on the prop. This will ensure that it is a genuine prop issued by Premiere Props and authenticated by MPDNA.

Lot 35: E.T. aka A Boy's Life Original Shooting Script

Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data

Description: Steven Spielberg was extremely secretive about the production of "E.T.". Every script was carefully catalogued with a special number which was printed on each and every page, identifying who the script was given out to, in order to prevent the copying of the script. They were titled "A Boy's Life" in order to keep the script's concept a secret and away from cheap quickie knock-off film. These scripts were so secure that it was reported that anyone who read the script was forced to do so behind closed doors and had to wear an ID card! This is one of the actual Shooting Scripts (dated August 21st, 1981) given out to the select main cast and crew. This specific script (with the code BOYS00012 printed on every page), was given to Esther Vivante, who was the script supervisor on the production. It includes the actual colored revision pages that came with this copy. The script comes from the late legendary Ms. Vivante's personal collection. Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data

Description: Many folks in Hollywood thought Cecil B. DeMille was crazy when he hired a very young composer by the name of Elmer Bernstein with few credits under his belt to score his grand epic, biggest money-maker and sadly last movie, "The Ten Commandments" (1956). But as always DeMille's instincts were spot on. Bernstein wrote one of the most magnificent scores for a Biblical epic ever written up to that time. So luscious was his music that the soundtrack album was issued in an extremely rare two record set. It also went on to become the best selling soundtrack album up to the time of its release. And of course Bernstein himself went on to write some of the greatest movie scores of all time. This one of the original albums in the special two record edition. In absolutely mint condition. Album is approx 12.5" x 12.5".

Ten Commandments Hebrew's Sandals

Lot 40F: Ten Commandments Hebrew's Sandals

Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data

Description: In the last 57 years, Cecil B. Demille's epic "The Ten Commandments" (1956) has taken on monumental proportions. Perhaps mostly because its type of true spectacular filmmaking has disappeared. For example, instead of actually hiring 14,000 extras to leave Egypt under the leadership of Charlton Heston's Moses, now with a tap of a keyboard, some technician at his computer in his garage can create the same thing. And as good as it looks, somehow it feels empty. Props and costumes from this movie have become extremely collectable, and rare. These are a pair of actual screen used sandals worn by one of those 14,000 in the exodus sequence that ends with the parting of the Red Sea. It has been reported that future Cuban leader Fidel Castro was an extra in this sequence, so you may actually be getting his shoes! Made of woven hemp and straw, and in excellent condition, considering their age.

The Ten Commandments Ceremonial Collar Costume

Lot 40H: The Ten Commandments Ceremonial Collar Costume

Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data

Description: When Cecil B. De Mille made his original silent version of "The Ten Commandments in 1923, he shot all the Egyptian sequences in the San Dunes of Southern California (many of his massive sets can still be uncovered beneath the dunes to this day!). When he remade the epic in 1958, he took his crew to Egypt to shoot many of the desert sequences in the original locations. Because of the massive number of extras in these scenes, most of the costumes were made in clothing factories in Cairo. This is an actual screen used man's ceremonial collar used in one of his infamous Exodus sequences. It includes the original tag from Cairo, with the name of the actor who wore it, "El Magri". (Collar is approx. 16.5"x16").

Estimated Price: Log in or create account to view price data

Description: An astonishing film treasure. This is the actual screen used Princess Nefretiri Throne from Cecil B. DeMille's masterwork, the epic classic "The Ten Commandments" (1956). This is the iconic royal Palace Empire Throne that Anne Baxter, as the Throne Princess Nefretiri, sits on in two of the most unforgettable scenes. It is seen both when the young Moses (Charlton Heston) enters the palace claiming victory in a war with the Nubians of Ethiopia, and then again when Moses is brought back to the palace in chains and sentenced to death by King Sethi (Cedric Hardwicke). Her Throne is extremely prevalent in both of these key scenes, especially when she leaps out of it to plead with the King to spare Moses' life. There are very few iconic pieces of furniture in the film. This is one of the most sought after pieces of furniture of all props/furniture in this classic film. The Throne is crafted in exquisite gold tinged metals and rare woods with inlaid hand carved hieroglyphs. It also has the official underchair markings from Paramount Pictures. This stunning famous Throne also comes with a Letter of Provenance from the current owner who inherited this throne from a well known Hollywood Luminary's estate in California in 1983 along with Bithiah's Throne (a separate lot in this auction). This is an oversized item. Additional shipping charges required. The original shipping crate is available for use to ship to the winning bidder. (Throne is approx 38"x19.5"x20").
