The fact that there is rocaille only to the front and that the back sides of the base are relatively straight suggests that this may have been part of a number of pieces that fitted together to form a table centre piece. The letter K at the back may then have relevance to how the pieces assembled together

Condition Report: Glaze losses from his mauve floral coat and black hat have been tidied up and the straps to his skate are the restorer's. He has been separated form the base at some point.
