Description: Either Hamblen or Grainger County, Tenn., circa 1840-60, old refinished surface, everything seems to match up on this piece, even the hinges on the doors of the top and base sections. 48" wide, 17 1/2" deep by 83" tall. Rich walnut, pegged construction, the top section has 6 panes of glass per door, the base features an unusually carved door panel that is actually carved in the wood and not applied.

Description: The original label states that this is a Firefoam Mark America LaFrance Foamite Corporation, Engineers and Manufacturing, Ellmira, NY, 40 Gallons. Probably early 20th Century, for 30+ years, this stood outside the residence of Roscoe & Nadine Buchanan in Morristown, Tenn. Both have now passed and the family has cleaned out the residence and we are offering this along with other antiques. The tank appears to be galvanized and the frame is either iron or steel and very, very heavy. 4 feet tall and long, 28" wide. Very explicit instructions for putting out the fire are on the large label on the top of the tank. The hose would need to be replaced but the valve end is in really good and probably useable condition. If you like old firefighting equipment, it does not get any better than this.

Description: Unsigned but either Old Paris or early 19th Cent. Staffordshire, reclining figure holding a harlequin mask in right hand and glove in left, feather on hat, the front of the clock has leaves molded and gilt in the porcelain with a classical figure of knight and lady in a columned setting with exotic trees in the background. 16" tall by 10" wide by 4 1/2" deep. The marking of the brass movement is FC 1408 and the striking bell as well as the pendulum is missing. The head has an old break and been poorly repaired and the top of the hat has been poorly repaired as well. Both repairs could be very much improved. On the front of the top of the frame surrounding the frieze on the front is an old firing crack. There is a log of hand painting on the case. This would look really good on a mantle or sideboard. The rest of the porcelain case is in good condition.
