The pistol measures 7" overall with approximately 3" staged cannon barrel of approximately 38 caliber with false rifling. The condition is fine to near excellent showing generous traces of original case hardening on frame barrel and mounts. At least 20% to 30% case hardening remains with good sharp metal surfaces and good quality engraving. The grip is in near fine condition with just a few minor and light scratches. Description: Spring operated 19th to early 20th-century dart pistol constructed of nickel plated cast iron marked patent on the left side with B over G makers mark showing crossed pistols. The pistol measures 10" overall with a 6" barrel and is approximately 10 to 12 caliber. The arm is operated by a compress spring which is mounted in the butt and a cocking piece threads on to the bottom of the pistol allowing the depression of the spring to cock. An original wrench for removing and replacing the spring is included along with two other operating tools, darts and led pellets for this pistol all contained within an old original to the period fabric lined case. The condition is very good plus to near fine showing 80% to 90% original finish with some losses and slight erosion where the nickel has lifted. The dart pistol works well and will make your neighbors cats and birds dance and as those darts really sting just ask my employees. Est.: $500-$1,000

Two opponents would dress in armor and using wood lances would try to knock each other off their horses while meeting at a bridge. This game was popular in Italy during the mid-17th century as a revival of the tournament contest. The two articulated neck pieces are properly hand formed but are 19th or 20th century restorations and are nicely aged and matching in appearance. The wood shaft is hand carved and very old measures approximately 82" in length and probably replaced in 20th century. The condition is very good with normal pitting and aging showing a good patina. Description: Ornate engraved and cased double action pinfire revolver with ivory grips showing makers or agents label gold in embossed in lid "L. Loeven, Arquebusier, 69 Rue De, Rivoli 69, Paris". The revolver measure 7 ¾" overall with 3 ¼" barrel and is in approximately 7.5 mm pinfire. The frame, cylinder and barrel are nicely and deeply scroll engraved and the metal surfaces are bright finished. There is a serial number 2354 of the right side of frame. The metal condition is good with some scattered light to moderate pitting and a few areas of slightly heavier pitting particularly on the back of one cylinder. The ivory grips are original to the period and fit perfectly and show proper age. The revolver is contained within its original to the period fitted in blue velveteen lined case which remains in very good to near fine condition showing just slight fading and normal aging. The leather covered trunk style case shows tack decorations and a working original key is also retained. Est.: $900-$1800
