Description: A George III silver caddy spoon, by Hester Bateman, with fluted bowl, no date letter, incuse duty mark, London, circa 1784, one other with repousse bat's wing bowl bordered by flowers and foliate handle, Robert Mitchell, Birmingham, 1823, 2.75in, together with three other caddy spoons.

Condition Report: Shovel bowl- William Pugh, Birmingham, 1814. (repair). Fiddle pattern- Thomas Streetin, London, 1815. OEP- unmarked and repair. Hester Bateman spoon- Overall codition good. Maker's mark, lion and duty mark only, all clear. Robert Mitchell spoon- Tired engraved initials on the reverse of the spoon terminal. There is a small split to the surface of the silver on the back of the handle where it joins the bowl and on the immediate other side of this area there appears to be a small piece of silver solder, so probably an old repair. There is a small split to th rim of the bowl close to the base of the handle. There are also two tiny holes within the bowl decoration. Marks on bowl interior clear although some minor rubbing to the date letter and anchor. Condition Report: The lid is very loose in situ and the is a small split to the silver at the back of the domed section of the lid, only really visible from the inside. Marks on lid clear. There is quite a prominent dent to the centre of the main body, not far from the base of the handle. Therer are a few very minor dings to the top of the foot stem.
