Petersen who had one of the finest gun collections in the world kept this shotgun for either sentimental purpose as it belonged to his long time friend Robert Stack. Robert Stack had a long career as an actor andnarrator most remembered for his role as Elliot Ness in "The Untouchables" television series and later as the host and narrator of "Unsolved Mysteries". This cataloguer who knew both these premier collectors well can speculate it was somesort of a joke or wager that Petersen kept this gun for sentimental reasons. Robert E. Petersen collection.
