Description: SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE PITCHER, salt glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, high-shouldered form with incised double rings on shoulder and neck, flat-top rim, and medial-ridge strap handle with lower thumb impression, light cut-off lines under base. Brushed cobalt wide-bloom tulip decoration on front, neck with upturned feathers flanking the feathered spout, additional cobalt at upper handle terminal. Probably Augusta or Rockingham County.

Condition Report: Excellent condition, shallow outer-edge chip to side of rim, hairline across lower handle terminal.
