Condition Report: Rosewood veneered case good condition with restoration. It looks like someone has applied a coat of shellac over the original finish that has created an unattractive shine. Some of the veneer on the base has been restored in an attempt to repair earlier veneer damage. Original dial has been repainted. Hands are original. Original tablet with repairs to design by using paint to fill in the missing gold leaf. Dark, but readable label inside the case. Ht 19"

Condition Report: the gold front has a movement, probably Killborn & Proctor, marked "Elgin Craft". The paper dial is newer, the hands are too short, the weight is incorrect, and the colorful naval tablets are flaking, but the clock could restore nicely. The B & I has a replaced painted metal dial with a filled in winding hole, and another drilled for these works. Note The Brewster & Ingrahams was the 1st spring-driven banjo clock. They altered gallery clock cases and added the lower section and used a pendulum movement. It is a scarce clock, in spite of dial. It appears to have the correct glasses Ht 34" & 31"

Condition Report: the larger "Colby" was retailed by Bigelow, Kennard of Boston, and retains its old lacquered finish. Its porcelain dial has no flaws. The smaller "Dorval" was gold-plated that is mostly worn to the brass, its dial has some faint cracks, and it needs better hands. All the beveled glasses are good except for a small corner chip in one back door, and the simulated mercury pendulums are fine. Hts 9" and 11"

The dated black dial is good except for a small loss within the seconds track, and the movement ticks; 8.5" overall diameter. The Walker, with "S.R." on its spotted metal dial, is like the units inside commercial English dial clocks, and may be an old conversion. A new suspension spring is needed. Dial diameter 10"

Condition Report: the Waterbury had a gloss finish applied over the original, and there are a few tarnish streaks on the silvered dial. The convex glass and brass bezel are fine. The Junghans has a large A42 movement and original crazed finish, its silvered dial has been unevenly polished, its thick convex beveled glass is good, but one side molding is absent. Hts 13.5" and 10.5"

The smaller clock's bezel is a lighter replacement, with solder visible around the hinge, and its hands are too small. The larger clock is partially disassembled and needs hands.
