Provenance: Robert Gray was a doctor in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and became an Honorary Fellow of the College of Physicians in December, 1684. In the return dated 1st July, 1689 Dr Gray's name appears under the heading of 'criminals or reputed criminals'. The title to each volume bears his ink inscription; 'George D.
