An attractive group of portraits showing various African tribespeople in the photo studio, as well as in villages and outdoors. - Some faded, some surface scuff marks, many in good condition and with good contrasts.

Mounted to original board (slightly soiled, some edge wear), annotated by the photographer (?) in ink in lower edge of the mount. Partially lightly hand-colored in sepia, some light foxing spots in sky area, otherwise a strong print in good condition.

Mounted to album boards (time-stained in edges, traces of use), bound in contemporary full leather album (corners bumped, rubbed, some scratches) with brass clasp with gilt-stamped title: Reise-Erinnerungen on front cover, second half of album empty. The album includes views of Fluelapass, Zermatt, Matterhorn, Bellinzona, Rhonegletscher, Lucern, Schneideck, Pilatus, Wengeralp, Grindelwald, Thun, Bern, etc. - Some surface scuffing, otherwise strong prints in good condition.
