An album compiled by Ferdinand James Tidmarsh of the 33rd Regiment of Foot, c. 1880s, comprising five mounted albumen print photos of Abyssinia, including an army camp, soldiers, and King Theodor's house at Magdala, a further albumen print showing a drawing of the head of King Theodor 'sketched immediately after capture of Magdala', another image of the grave of Colonel Dunn VC at Senafe on the edge of the Ethiopian highlands, plus other mounted albumen print photos showing locations in India, specifically Nagpur, Kampthi, Bombay and Simla, a total of approx. twenty-five images 14 x 19 cm or larger, plus some related ephemera tipped or pasted in, mounted back-to-back and with ink captions to mounts throughout, contemp. morocco with gilt monogram of the compiler to upper cover, spine deficient and covers detached, 4to (1)
