Description: PETER COMBE PIANO This Auction item is proudly donated by: Dr Janis Svilans Purchased by famous Children's entertainer Peter Combe in 1980 after returning home from three years abroad in England Janis bought the piano from Peter in 1987 - personally signed by Peter. It is up for auction at the 65 Roses ball. In Peter's own words: "It's a rather nice instrument and very suitable for kids starting lessons." The best known songs I wrote using it include: - Mr Clicketty Cane (Wash Your Face in Orange Juice) - Juicy Juicy Green Grass - Spaghetti Bolognaise - Running on the Spot (sung often on Playschool) - George Cryolot Crumble (recorded by Rolf Harris)" Payment direct to Cystic Fibrosis SA via Amex Visa Mastercard Cheque or EFTn within 3 working days of the close of bidding. Absentee bidding will close at 8pm on Friday 5th August 2011. The highest bid at that point will then be the starting bid on the 6th August at the 65 Roses Ball. Delivery of the piano will be provided free to an metropolitan Adelaide area within 3 days of sale.
