Printed Letter signed Albert', Windsor Castle, 31st October 1851, to Thomas Wood, in part, 'I have the honor, as President of the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of commemoration of the valuable services which you have rendered in your capacity of associate Juror'. signed lower right with recipient's name lower left, 29.5 x 19.5 cm, surmounted by a bronze Juror's medal (64 mm) by W. Wyon and G.G. Adams, encompassed in a fine gilt metal frame, with crown above flanked by Mercury and Britannia, finely pierced and engraved with strapwork leading to portrayal an eagle, laid onto a stained board, framed and glazed, reverse with aperture to examine reverse of medal, 62 x 38 cm The Great Exhibition of 1851 took place in Hyde Park, London, from 1st May to 15th October.
