Description: A considerable quantity of material relating to private owner wagons. This appears to have been the property of Peter Mathews a former president of the Luton Model Railway Club and consists primarily of many hundreds of drawings, photographs, sketches and similar material which is sorted alphabetically by owners. Additionally there is a large packet of unsorted photographs negatives and other ephemera mainly to do with wagons and rolling stock but including some sketches and layout plans of various stations and yards, The whole would appear to be a comprehensive and important archive mostly in vgc. Description: L M S Periodicals: A colection of loose copies of the various internal magazines/newsletters produced by the Lms in the tale thirties and forties. Lms Magazine - 20 copies from 1937, 1938 and 1939 On Time (Operations Dept Journal) - 18 copies from the same years. Quota News (Commercial Dept Journal) - 14 Copies from the same years. Carry On (Lms wartime newsletter which continued after the war and became the Br staff news magazine for the former Lms lines in England and Scotland) - 40 copies from the 1940s and 23 for the Br years 1948 and 1949 Condition is variable Due to the poor quality of the original newsprint there is fading on some covers and at most edges. There are some tears (usually with minor or no loss) and a few covers are missing but there is a lot of information hare about the final years of the Lms. Also included in this lot are 13 Gwr and 3 Sr magazines from the late 1930s.

Description: Transacord Records in original brown sleeves: Four 10in 33.3rpm 5036-7 LNW 0-8- 0; 5040-1 Great Central; 5042-3 Castles; 5046-7 A3 Pacifics Together with two 7in 33.3rpm (also in original brown sleeves) - 1002-3 Lickey 1955; 1004-5 Buileid Pacifics. All sleeves are generally in good condition with a little scruffing at edges but no tears except for 5036-7 which has a tin tear on the edge with no loss. Records appear to be in good condition but a detailed check has not been made. 6
