Auction Description: Skinner's next auction of European Furniture & Decorative Arts will be held July 10, 2010 in Skinner's Boston gallery. Featured in the auction is the Wedgwood collection of Joe Skirchak and Pat Cerra. Encompassing the full breadth of Wedgwood's manufacture, the collection numbers approximately 350 lots and includes many fine examples. Skinner is a major force in the sale of fine European furniture and decorative arts at auction and sales include the best in English, French, German, Italian, Dutch and Russian works of art, including silver, ceramics, glass, lighting, rugs, and textiles, plus a broad array of English and Continental furniture from a variety of periods. Sale Notes:
Buyers Premium: Except for property purchased via on-line Live Auctions, a premium equal to 18.5% of the final bid price up to and including $200,000, plus 10% of the final bid over $200,000, will be applied to each lot sold, to be paid by the Buyer as part of the purchase price. Description: Three 18th Century English Porcelain Items, including a pair of Worcester trios, each with gilt trim and polychrome enameled flowers, underglaze crossed swords marks, saucer dia. 5 1/8 in.; and a puce marked Derby deep dish with gilt trim, dark blue enamel banding and white enamel dots, dia. 7 5/8 in.

Condition Report: Trios: One saucer wit slight footrim chip; one cup with two small and shallow chips; light scattered gilt wear throughout. One saucer with heavy wear to blue enamel trim lines at center. Dish: heavy gilt wear.

Description: Pair of Regency Enamel Decorated and Parcel-gilt Porcelain Fruit Coolers, England, c. 1815-20, urn form with curved handles accented with shells, tapering lids centered by an upright topped by an artichoke finial, and fitted with liner bowls, with wide underglaze cobalt blue band overpainted with gilt scrolls and bellflowers swags, and reserves painted with floral bouquets, ht. 12 1/2 in.

Condition Report: one with rim chip to upper edge of body, touched up with gold paint, and with crazing to base of stem in center of lid. the other with hairline to the liner bowl, running about half the diameter.
