Together with a George III silver berry jam spoon with embossed fruiting bowl, feather edge and initialled terminal, hallmarked Thomas Dene London 1770. Gross combined weight 1.6 ozt (50 grams). Condition Report: Both spoons display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The caddy spoon displays further obvious wear with distortion to the shape of the bowl, crude repairs visible to the join of the mother of pearl and silver, the silver mount also split and chips visible to the handle terminal. The hallmarks are distorted due to position on the stem of the berry spoon however overall clearly legible.

The metal on the spoon bowls is quite thin but they have generally faired quite well. However one of the bowls is quite dinted and misshapen towards the tip. Deeper scratches visible to some areas and various minor nicks and pitting marks throughout. The three spoon bowls are all quite worn and misshapen towards the tips and are in fairly poor condition. One of the George III spoons is also quite heavily tarnished. Loss of detail to engraved initials, etc. Hallmarks are all legible, however the marks on the stems of the spoons are quite squashed so that it is difficult to see all the marks clearly.

Condition Report: The pieces in the canteen are in varied condition, however all display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the use. Deeper scratches and nicks to some areas. There is some slightly heavier tarnishing to some areas, such as the tips of the fork prongs and the blades of the fish knives. The spoon bowls appear to have faired quite well, as do the the fork prongs, although there is more wear towards the tips. There is some wear to the tips of the fish knife blades, as they have lost some of their sharpness. The hallmarks are mainly clear and legible.

Gross weighable silver 7.7 ozt (240 grams).

Condition Report: Items are in varied condition. All display some tarnishing, general wear, surface marks and scratches and various minor nicks, especially to edges. The bowl on the Hanoverian spoon is not in very good condition as there are numerous nicks and dints and the metal appears very thin. There is also loss of detail to the shell back and the hallmarks are partly distorted. On one of the pairs of sugar nips, the bowls have several dints and one of them has a large split in the metal. The metal on the other spoon bowls also appears thinner towards the tips. Wear and small dints to the edges of the blade. Various dints to the ladle and edge nicks and chips to the handle. Hallmarks are mainly legible.

Description: A selection of four various spoons, to include a silver "cut" Trefid spoon with rat-tail and laceback, circa 1690, hallmarks present as a lion passant mark and maker's mark TT with a star within a shield-shape cartouche only. Together with a Fiddle pattern sifter/salt spoon, a salt spoon with entwined snake handle, and an Arts and Crafts style spoon. Gross weight 1.56 ozt (48.6 grams). (4).

Condition Report: The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The ''cut'' trefid spoon has been cut to the stem and bent, with a small hole to the end. There are two small splits to the stem where the lion passant hallmark is. The bowl appears worn. There is wear and loss of definition to the laceback design on the reverse of the bowl. There are numerous small dents scratches and black marks. The fiddle pattern bowl is worn, chip to bowl tip, piercing and engraving appears crude. The snake handle spoon has been poorly repaired with soft solder, the bowl is dented, general discolouration and scratches. The Arts and Crafts style spoon has been repaired and has bends to the handle. The two condiment spoons and Arts & Crafts style spoon are white metal and unmarked.

Numerous small nicks and deeper scratches to the napkin ring and the seam line is visible. The hallmarks are all clear and legible. There is considerable damage and deterioration to the case and it is falling apart.
