Condition Report: The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some of the hallmarks are particularly rubbed. The toast rack has some repairs and also looks to have been removed from a base.

Description: Victorian silver pair of open salts, each of part lobed oval form with twin flat top handles and oval footed base, hallmarked Charles Stuart Harris, London 1883, with two Onslow pattern condiment spoons, hallmarked Henry Wilkinson & Co., Sheffield 1879, all in a fitted case for a set of four salts (liners deficient). Silver weight 2.74 ozt (85.4 grams).

Condition Report: The pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Remnants of polish to some areas. On the salts, there are various minor surface nicks, a couple of minor surface dints and the seam lines at the sides are just visible. The maker's marks are partly worn, however the other hallmarks are clear and legible. The bowls on the salt spoons have faired quite well with some minor edge and rim nicks. Some darker areas of tarnishing to the bowls. Some rubbing to hallmarks but mainly legible.

Condition Report: The three pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Deeper scratches and minor nicks visible to some areas, also some seam lines are visible and there is some slight loss of detail to decoration in places. Some minor surface dints and creases. There are also remnants of polish to some areas. There is a larger crease visible to the plain wide rim of the cream jug, below the lip. The handles on the sugar basin are both now a little misshapen. The hinged lid on the teapot is in working order, however there is a slight gap when it is closed. The hallmarks appear quite rubbed in places but are still legible.

Description: Late Victorian silver matched pair of candelabra with twin loop branches, each with central column decorated with draped swag motifs and leading to a quatrefoil shape base embossed with a band of formalised acanthus leaves, the whole with further foliate decoration to each socket and detachable nozzle (filled). Most parts are hallmarked London 1898, one candlestick dated 1901 and two nozzles dated 1894, two maker's marks are visible, Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater and John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater. Maximum height measures 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm).

Condition Report: Both candelabra display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Mustard pot displays various spots of tarnishing and some darker patches to the underside. There are some deeper scratches and numerous minor nicks and some minor surface dints. The maker's mark is partly worn and the hallmarks appear very rubbed, however the part hallmarks to reverse of lid are very clear and legible. The underside is also impressed with retailer's name and place Yeovil. The foot rim of the cylindrical jar displays some knocks and dints.

Floods of solder visible around the knopped base of each stem, indicating possible repairs. This is more apparent on one of the candlesticks. Both nozzles are jammed in position and cannot be removed, there are also remnants of wax. The hallmarks appear rubbed in places but are still legible.

Description: Edwardian silver mounted glass caster of flute cut tapering form, with plain silver collar and a bulbous shape detachable lid with floral and foliate embossing and a flame finial, hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester 1901; together with a modern silver baluster shape caster, hallmarked Birmingham 1964, a pair of silver mounted glass salts and a pair of Albany pattern silver condiment spoons. Weighable silver 3.39 ozt (105.7 grams).

Description: George III and Victorian silver matched pair of open pedestal salts, each of bulbous oval form with engraved crest to one side, gilded interior and gadrooned decoration to rims. One salt hallmarked Robert Hennell I & Samuel Hennell, London 1808, the other hallmarked Robert Harper, London 1858. Each length measures 4 inches (10 cm), weight 4.92 ozt (153 grams).

Condition Report: Both salts display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper scratches visible to some areas, especially the gilded interiors. There are also various nicks and pitting marks. Both display some surface dints to the main body and the Victorian example also has a slight knock to the foot rim. On this salt there is also a slight impression of the foot visible to the interior. Some loss of detail to the engraved crests. The gilding is brighter on the Georgian salt. This salt also weighs slightly heavier.

Condition Report: The dish displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper scratches to some areas, also spots of tarnishing and various minor nicks. Contact marks to base rim and incised numbers 1803M. However, the overall condition appears to be fairly good. Maker's mark is slightly rubbed, however the other hallmarks are clear and legible.

Condition Report: The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Repair visible to one along the seam and neck, the seams to the same example have started to split. A little of the definition to the embossing has rubbed. The loading to the bases differs to each bud vase, overall deteriorated and missing felt or covering base. The hallmarks appear rubbed but legible, almost completely rubbed to one exmaple.

Description: Early twentieth century silver pair of candlesticks, each modelled as a classical Doric column below a detachable nozzle with a shaped beaded rim, the stepped square base with conforming beaded border decoration. Hallmarked Hawksworth Eyre & Co Ltd., Sheffield, possibly 1909 (filled bases and AF). Height with nozzle measures 7 inches (18 cm).

Condition Report: Candlesticks are in poor condition. Both display general wear, surface marks and scratches and nicks. Both also display numerous small surface dints. There are several holes, cracks and splits in the metal all over and especially to the edges of the Doric columns. On one of the candlesticks, the splits and cracks are particularly bad, with whole sections lifting or missing. Part hallmarks to nozzles are clear but the main hallmarks around the each base are partly distorted, especially the date letter.

Condition Report: All three pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Knock to foot rim of the Victorian pepper and also remnants of polish visible to some areas. The lid is a very tight fit and the flange is quite dinted and knocked with a couple of small cracks appearing. The hallmarks to main body and part hallmarks to lid are clear and legible. The Edwardian pepper displays some small surface dints to the main body, visible on the plain panels and around the rim. Also remnants of polish to some areas. Lid screws on tightly. The hallmarks to the underside are clear and legible, maker's mark slightly rubbed. Silver mount on glass bottle is quite tarnished and there are some small surface dints.
