Description: (Civil War, Union), Three diaries, compiled by Abiel A. Livermore, Company "B", 8th New Hampshire Volunteers, 1861-1863, each cloth and pocket sized, mostly concerning camp life and eventually transfer to Louisiana where some engagements occur, (worn).

Condition Report: Includes a fourth diary, a "Soldier's Book" in leather wallet. It is unused, except for the first page, which is inscribed Abiel A. Livermore, Company B, 811 Reg., NH Vol., date of enlistment October, 26, 1861. The diaries are mainly written in pencil, with a few scattered ink entries. The last entries for the 1863 diaries are dated March 15th and March 27th. All with wear to covers (except unused "Soldiers Book", which is very good). Age/usage typical handling wear. Dampstaining. Some loose pages.
