Description: American School, 19th Century Portrait Miniature of Three Young Children. Unsigned. Watercolor on ivory, c. 1825, depicting full-length portraits of the children seated on a red upholstered settee, the girl on the left wears a dark purple plaid dress and holds a pink rose, the baby in the center wears a white frilled bonnet and a plaid sash on a white dress, the girl on the right wears a blue dress and holds a small basket of flowers, 4 x 3 1/8 in. (sight), housed in a period wood frame. Condition: Paint very good, crack on edge of two left corners.

Condition Report: approx. 1 in. vertical crack on edge of two left corners, ivory panel slightly bowed.

Watercolor on ivory, c. 1820, 2 3/8 x 1 3/4 in., housed in an oval gilt-brass frame, the reverse containing a plait of brown hair decorated with tiny glass beads in a floral design centered with the initial "D." Condition: Thin smear l.r., several glass beads loose on reverse.

Condition Report: Fairly unobtrusive smear about 3/4 x 1/16 in. near edge at l.r.
