Condition Report: There are typical manufacturing faults; there is a firing crack measuring 15mm long to the rim by the side of the handle, the handle itself is twisted and off kilter, pitting to the glaze and there is an area of loss to the clay on the foot and another area where clay is stuck to it, there is general crazing to the glaze, there is a fine 10mm rim crack and there is some loss to the glaze on the interior, otherwise good. Description: A large London delftware ovoid vase, late 17th century, painted in blue in Chinese style with birds and insects, including a dragonfly, amid flower bouquets, 12ins., restorations

Condition Report: The whole of the neck / rim has been restored, an area 7.5 x 9cm wide between some flowers and leaves has been restored, there is no evidence of restoration on the interior on the same area so probably restoration of some surface flaking, 5.5cm up from the foot rim is a restored glaze loss which has been coloured in blue approximately 35mm wide x 5mm high. There are also considerable restorations around the very bottom of the foot and there is some general scratching around the shoulder just below the neck, otherwise in good condition.
