Condition Report: Condition Summary: The painting is in fair condition structurally and aesthetically. It is dirty and has a layer of yellow residue (probably nicotine from cigarette smoke) covering a somewhat discolored natural resin varnish. It is structurally stable and has been restored at least once as evidenced by small areas of dark overpaint visible in a few areas such as the foliage at the center of the upper edge, and the window above the squabbling figures. The areas of dark paint exhibit traction crackle which is likely inherent to the materials used by the artist. Additionally there are several tiny mechanical damages resulting in paint loss located in a large vertical band toward the center of the painting.
