The stretcher appears to be original and both the lining and stretcher are in good condition. There are: a small mechanical damage in the lower left quadrant; a small area of retouching covering paint layer abrasion along the lower right edge; small, scattered areas of retouching above the head of the figure on the right; paint/varnish layer abrasion at the edges caused by the frame rabbet and a small, linear abrasion in the varnish surface along the upper edge.
