Condition Report: The portfolio box with minor wear and surface soiling. The title page with a soft diagonal crease at lower left. 5 ladies: With three approx. 1/4-in. speckled pale orange/brown stains at lower left corner, lower right and in center of lower margin edge. There is a soft 1-inch crease in the lower left margin. Butterfly/Downcast Eyes: With a two inch horizontal crease in the lower center margin edge. A 1-inch soft horizontal crease at the upper left corner. Diagonal Yellow line: With a 2-inch soft horizontal crease in the center right margin edge. All of these condition issues are very unobtrusive. Because of the Japanese paper, the soft creases are very difficult to see unless held at an angle to bright light. Overall, in very good condition with bright colors, and no evidence of prior framing. Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. These are confined to the margin areas in the two works we examined out of the frame. There is uneven, mottled apparently acid staining verso. Overall otherwise in good condition.
