SALVADOR DALÍ Exposición Dalí - Homenaje a Fortuny

Estimate: €90 - €200

Description: Mariano Fortuny was the leader Catalan painter of his day; but soon after he died (1874), his works were relegated to oblivion. On 1962, Salvador Dalí wanted to release him from this unfair oblivion: he exposed his ?Batalla de Tetuán?, together with Fortuny's original, at Salón del Tinell, in Barcelona. More than 50000 people went to the exhibition, giving a ?second chance? to this forgotten artist. Offset poster promoting the exhibition, B+ condition. Dimensions in inches: 39 x 26.3''.
