Description: ENCOIGNURE REGENCE EN PALISSANDRE Comprenant deux portes galbées en façade, dessus de marbre rouge royale de Belgique. Estampillée de Schwingkens Guillaume Epoque régence XVIIIème siècle H : 91 ; L : 71 ; P : 50 cm Schwingkens Guillaume : cet ébéniste d'origine allemand vient à Paris à l'époque de la Régence et obtient ses lettres de maîtrise, sans doute au début du règne de Louis XV. Il s'établit rue du Faubourg-Saint-honoré puis vers 1745, rue de Charonne. Il serait mort aux alentours de 1760. Ses meubles, notamment des commodes et des encoignures, de fabrication simple et classique, appartiennent tous au style Louis XV et rappellent même souvent le goût de la Régence ; Ils sont revêtus de placage en feuilles avec parfois quelques motifs de marqueterie.
