ELVIS PRESLEY SAILS WITH CALENDAR ON BACK SLEEVE.

Lot 78: ELVIS PRESLEY SAILS WITH CALENDAR ON BACK SLEEVE.

by Simon Parr's Auctions Ltd

December 28, 2014, 3:00 PM GMT

Wallsend, United Kingdom

Estimated Price: £40 - £60

Description: ELVIS SALES: Elvis Sails was a songless EP consisting of three interviews with Elvis just before he left for West Germany on September 22, 1958. A newspaper "extra" appeared on the front cover, dated Tuesday, September 22, 1958. Elvis's photo (in his Army uniform) was superimposed on the newspaper. The back cover featured a 1959 calendar with five small photos of Elvis and seven dates circled. (Note: For one of the circled dates - April 10 - it said that "Elvis Bought Home for Family in Memphis, April 10, 1956". This was incorrect; it should have been 1957). A small hole was punched in the top of the Elvis Sails cover so that the buyer could hang it on the wall. Elvis Sails spent 12 weeks on Billboard's EP chart, eventually rising to #2.

Condition Report: Good, with quite a few scratches.

Lot 142: Charlottenburger Wasserwerke

by Deutsche Wertpapierauktionen

January 8, 2015, 5:00 PM CET

Wolfenbüttel, Germany

Estimated Price: €300 - €1,000

Description: Berlin, Actie 1.000 Mark 24.1.1893 (Auflage 2000, R 11).Großformatig, viele Bezugsrechtsstempel.NICHT entwertet, in dieser Form sind seit Jahren nur 2 Exemplare bekannt. Das Stück ist fachgerecht restauriert. Teils braunfleckig. VF #8764.

Dresdner Bank AG

Lot 203: Dresdner Bank AG

by Deutsche Wertpapierauktionen

January 8, 2015, 5:00 PM CET

Wolfenbüttel, Germany

Estimated Price: €20 - €50

Description: Frankfurt a.M., Aktie 5 DM Juni 1995 (R 5).Mit Firmenlogo. Grüner G&D-Druck.Rückseitig stempelentwertet. EF #238003.

GERLING-KONZERN Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG

Lot 272: GERLING-KONZERN Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG

by Deutsche Wertpapierauktionen

January 8, 2015, 5:00 PM CET

Wolfenbüttel, Germany

Estimated Price: €90 - €300

Description: Köln, Namensaktie Reihe B 500 DM Dez. 1957 (Auflage 2632, R 9).Nur sehr wenige gelangten überhaupt in den Sammlermarkt. EF #2422.

Elvis-Worn Necklace, 1957

Lot 66: Elvis-Worn Necklace, 1957

by The Auction at Graceland

January 8, 2015, 7:00 PM CST

Memphis, TN, USA

Estimated Price: $5,000 - $7,000

Description: JD Sumner was Elvis' bass singer in the 1970s. During performances at that time, fans would often throw tokens of their admiration for Elvis on stage at the end of each concert. Elvis would often give many of these items to JD Sumner. The offered religious pendant necklace was one such token that a fan gave Elvis. Before gifting it to JD Sumner, Elvis wore this necklace. It can be seen in images of Elvis from March 28, 1957 in Chicago meeting the press before a show. The pendant with Catholic symbols on a clover-shaped design is suspended from a white metal chain and reads on the reverse "I am Catholic please call a priest." This necklace and many other such items were given to The Elvis Museum. The necklace is accompanied by a letter from the Gettysburg Museum of History, from which the necklace was deaccessioned in June of 2014 and by a photograph of Elvis wearing the necklace. The necklace is also accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated. The pendant measures approximately 1 1/5 inches (3.2 cm).

Condition Report: Overall excellent condition with typical signs of wear.
