This poster was designed and hand signed in ink by all three artists, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley and Rick Griffin. The piece measures 14x18.25 inches, is depicted in the Art of Rock as plate 2.206 and is in excellent condition. (Estimated range with all three signatures $1200 - $1600)

The poser has dotted lines to cut out the medals part to wear to protest the decorated soldiers wearing medals returning home from Viet Nam, and most of these posters were immediately cut up by war protestors around the Bay Area at the time which is why they are so rare today. The _medals_ on this poster were for other acts performing at the Carousel Ballroom at the time such as Fleetwood Mac, the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. Description: Sputnik Custom made for commemoration for the first unmanned space flight, October 4th, 1957. This model was handmade in extreme small numbers. Size: 1.7x 2.8 Inch On the occasion of the first flight into space of Sputnik, a model was created, which was given to highly decorated military officers and politicians. This model differs very much to the ones which were produced later to the thousands as souvenir for tourists. The writing is made out of pure silver, the base is steel covered with rose gold, the body is polished aluminium and the antennas are steel made. The base is inscribed: 4.X.1957. CCCP (Russian: Сою́з Сове́тских Социалисти́ческих Респу́блик, tr. Soyuz Sovetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik) --- Sputnik Spezialanfertigung zur Erinnerung an den ersten Weltraumflug vom 4.10.1957 Dieses Modell wurde in extrem kleiner Stückzahl handgefertigt. Größe: 4,4 x 7,1 cm Anlässlich des Allfluges der Sputnik wurde ein Modell angefertigt, das zur Erinnerung an hohe Politiker und Generäle verschenkt wurde. Dieses Stück unterscheidet sich wesentlich von den späteren zu 1000enden hergestellten Touristenandenken. Patina finish on metal, bore is dirty and possibly lightly pitted, outside of barrel near muzzle and side plate show areas of pitting, checkered walnut grips show multiple deep handling marks, front of grip strap is stamped "11./J.R.20.38.", top of barrel chamber is stamped "1918 & 1920", underside of barrel shows CIA import mark, stock lug is intact, underside of grips are not stamped. With the exception of the magazine, visible parts show this to be matching numbers. With 1 - 8 round magazine with serial number not matching gun and leather holster, stitching on leather is intact, leather is pliable but is cracking and a small hole is visible at bottom of holster, holster has some discoloration. Schilderungen Wiener und Berliner Sitten, worin "so viele schmutzige Sachen mit ihrem wahren Namen genannt" werden: Berliner Freudenmädchen, Redoute, Sammelplatz der Verliebten und Neugierigen, Bordelle in Wien, Benehmen der Freudenmädchen, Bekanntschaft mit einer im Leopoldsstädter Theater und Geschichte derselben etc. Die reizvollen Holzschnitte von Gubitz zeigen das Wiener Belvedere von Süden und das Brandenburger Tor in Berlin. Im selben Jahr erschien auch eine französische Ausgabe. - Einfache Ausgabe ohne die drei Kostümkupfer von Gubitz. Etwas stockfleckig bzw. gebräunt.

Zwei der berühmten Motivtafelserien des Qi Baishi (1864-1957), die der Verlag Rongbaozhai in Peking post mortem veröffentlichte. Sie zeigen eine Auswahl der herrlichen Pflanzendarstellungen des bedeutensten chinesischen Malers des 20. Jahrhunderts, dem den Internationalen Friedenspreis des Weltfriedensrats für das Jahr 1950 verliehen wurde. Die Holzschnitte zeigen Blumen, Früchte und Tiere, Motive aus Qi Baishis Œuvre, hier im Druck auf großen Tafeln auf seltenen Chinabütten, die die leuchtenden Farbigkeit besonders erstrahlen lassen. - Tafeln durchgehend sauber und frisch, kaum Knicke.
