An excellent, extremely rare vintage signed and inscribed 11 x 14 photograph of Schulberg in a head and shoulders pose. Signed in bold blue fountain pen ink to the clear background, 'To Clara Bow - who will always be great because she has the heart of all humanity, B. P. Schulberg', and dated 20th February 1930 in his hand. An important association photograph. Some extremely light, minor corner creasing, otherwise VG Clara Bow (1905-1965) American Actress who personified the Roaring Twenties as 'The It Girl'. Schulberg first employed Bow as an 18 year old starlet on a three month trial contract, although within days of arriving she was made part of the studio permanent stock and quickly became a major Box Office star. However, in 1931, in the following year that the present photograph was signed, Bow left Hollywood and only made a few more movies in her career.

Description: Orville Wright (1871-1948) Inventor and Clarence Chamberlain (1893-1976) Aviator. Wright, together with his brother Wilbur, were the inventors of the world's first successful airplane. Orville became famous as a father of modern aviation and developed technology for the United States Army. On December 17, 1903, in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, the Wright brothers succeeded in flying the first free, controlled flight of a power-driven, heavier than air plane. Of four flights they made that day, the longest was 59 seconds, and reached a height of 852 feet. Chamberlain was the second man to pilot a fixed-wing aircraft across the Atlantic Ocean, from New York to the European mainland, while carrying the first transatlantic passenger. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1947.

As coach, general manager, and part owner of the Washington Redskins in 1969, he led that team to its first winning season in 14 years. 11 ¼? x 9 ¼? scouting report for a September 29, 1957 game between the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Colts, in ink and pencil, front and back, all in the hand of Lombardi. He was an assistant coach with the New York Giants. The 1957 Lions would win the NFL championship in 1957, although they lost this opening game to the Baltimore Colts 34-13. An authenticator has found it necessary to affix their sticker at the lower right.
